Prawn Gravy



Ingredients
  • Prawns - 1 kg
  • Onion - 2 big (chopped nicely)
  • Tomato - 3 (chopped into fine pieces)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 5 (Cut lengthwise)
  • Curry leaves - 15
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt as needed
  • Oil - 4 tsp
  • Water for cooking

 Method  
  • In a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds.
  • When the seeds, start spluttering, add onion, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, curry leaves and tomato.
  • Cook till, the tomato becomes soft.
  • Now add the prawns, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, water and cook till the prawns shape becomes curved and soft.
  • Add the garam masala powder and cook for another 3 mts.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or nan or chappathi.
